Weird, wacky and wonderful cameras at The Photography Show

Whether you’re a camera collector looking for an old classic, a hipster trying to find a fashionable film camera, or just somebody interested in the interesting and unusual remnants of photography’s past, the Disabled Photographers Society’s stand is an absolute must-visit at The Photography Show

Situated at Stand H121, the Disabled Photographers’ Society (now in its 50th year)  makes photography accessible to people with all manner of disabilities, making it possible for those who would otherwise struggle to use a camera to share our collective passion for photography.

The DPS stand is a fixture at The Photography Show, and is an Aladdin’s cave of photographic treasures and trinkets for you to sift through. Some of the gems we spotted on day one of the show included a stunning Bell and Howell 605 triple lens cine, a duck egg blue Anny (a Diana clone), a Nimslo 3D rangefinder, an Argus Argoflex and many, many more.

You don’t just have to be panning for gold, either – there are plenty of more common cameras and accessories, making the stand a great place for anyone looking to explore analogue photography or get a cheap accessory bag. And it’s not all take-take-take – the DPS is always looking for donations of old gear, so bring any of your unused kit with you to the The Photography Show and the team will put it towards a very good use!

The Disabled Photographers’ Society is located at Stand H121.
