GIFTS TO GRADS: Local photographer gives the gift of graduation photos to the Class of 2020
Event and lifestyle photographer, Jodye Alcon, is helping ease the sting of this year’s lack of graduation fan fare by gifting complimentary mini photo shoots to high school seniors. Adhering to social distancing guidelines, Alcon provides 30-minute outdoor sessions, shooting from afar while wearing a mask. Grads are encouraged to bring props that define them, as well as their cap and gown.
“This isn’t the graduation anyone was expecting,” says Alcon. “These kids — though disappointed — have such a great attitude and perspective. I’m honored to help capture this milestone despite these circumstances.”
Mini photo shoots are held at Alcon’s outdoor home studio and will run through June 15. All participants must be in good health and required to wear a mask when not being photographed.
